Don't bother farming tose Ettins, go through the portal to Ascalon Settlement and farm the Ettins near there.

One thing I forgot to mention. Salvaging ettin's pauldrons (the ones that aren't runes) gives you either: 3-10 tanned hide squares or a leather square. I think it is worth bringing the expert or sup salvage kit with you, but then agian, I like stockpiling crafting materials.

Ettin farming's definately easy enough. I farmed it for a few days and managed to pull a superior vigor, never managed a superior absorption though, I intend to! You can farm them with any class, actually. Not all that difficult. I regularly do it on my necromancer and mesmer, sometimes my ranger. If you have a sprint skill the fastest way to do it is to leave from D'Alessio and just sprint through the Tengu fields, takes half a second and BAM you're at the settlement.

They seem to drop with more frequency. Me and a buddy of mine farmed ettins for awhile, it was always more productive to run past the first group of ettins into Ascalon Settlement, and kill the ettins in there, then run through to a third area (can't remember name?) and zone, then just go back and forth through Acalon Settlement. The one's outside Beetletun DO drop runes....but they're fewer and father between.

Absolutely true
But, I always kill them because where else can you aggro a mob of 10? It's fun to have that many on you at once. Actually I got a superior vigor from these guys last night, right outside of Beetleton, and I had a superior smiting rune previously also

Thats a good call, I know doing it with a ranger is a possibility, and it seems like an MM would be easy as well. You could pick up minions on the easy guys instead of running through.

I have found just bouncing back and fourth between zones works best for me makes it less boring too.

I always knew about this run but never got anything worth something, so I tried again today and on my first try got Superior Vigor.
I have you to get Sup Absorption but I'll keep trying.

I prefer farming Forest Titans, it seems to me they give better gold drops than Ettins nowadays.

I use sever artery, gash, galraths slash, flurry, bonnettis defense, sprint, vigorous spirit, live vicariously.
I can take out 5-6 ettin at a time without breaking a sweat. The trick with bonnetti's defense is dont use it in battle unless you really need to. After each battle I find the nearest Lynx and hit it once to aggro, then slap on bon. defense. 3-4 ettins I dont even use vigorous spirit I just use live vicarioulsy. Each ettin takes me between 8-13 seconds depending on energy. My sword has exec;ent dmg additions to it. With 16% vs ettins, 12% while enchanted, and customized for 20% adds 48% dmg when fighting ettins.

Water/Earth/Wing Born Titans, They're called Forest Titans because they spawn in Kryta or Henge of Denravi from the quest Glint gives you.

You dont have to be a warrior to farm ettins in this area..I take my MM all the time through here and use the mergoyles and avicara at the begining for raising minions. I also use the overabundant amount of lvl5 lynx for bodies. Makes things very simple as long as you pack at least one dmg skill to start out with.
